STRONGMAN CONTEST: Sapri (SA) - ITALY - 4/5/6 July 2003

After the great success of this year's contest, another spectacular strongman contest will be held. This competition has been held since 1997, and it is this contest which has received the greatest interest from the thousands of spectators who have witnessed it. The finest European specialists have participated in the past-men like Dusko Madzarovic, Eddy Ellwood, Jimmy Marra, Sebastian Abbatiello and Denis Udovic to mention but a few. David Webster, the great Scottish expert of the Iron Game will be present again this year to act as referee of the competition. Here are the events for those who want to be the strongest in the world:  

1) Bench press of 200 kgs

2) Deadlift of 300 kgs

3) Race with two dumbbells weigthing 95 kg each  [The Farmer's Walk]

4) Pulling a full-sized truck

The competitions will take place over three days, and the organization will supply board and lodging for three days, transportation from the nearest airport to the contest site, and trophies and cash prizes to the winners of every contest.
